Who we are:

Charles W. Latting, a retired FBI agent and Marine Corps Major, has planned tasks and operations from amphibious landings in Vietnam to rescue operations during airplane skyjackings, and terrorist raids. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry in Vietnam. For 10 years he organized and led the San Francisco FBI SWAT team. Following his retirement from the FBI he served as the Assistant Director of the California Department of Alcohol and Drugs, and as an Assistant Director of the California Department of Corrections.

Claude V. DeShazo, MD, FACS, served as a battalion surgeon with the First Marine Division in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V" during his Vietnam service. He returned to civilian life with careers in academic surgery and immunology research, organ transplantation and vascular surgery, and leadership in medical organizations. He presently is the CEO of his own firm which delivers the latest information technology to medical practices.

James A. Lupori, a retired attorney and businessman, served as a rifle platoon commander with the First Marine Division in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Combat "V" and the Purple Heart Medal. Returning to civilian life he completed law school and worked as a prosecutor in the Criminal Division of the Summit County Ohio Prosecutor's Office. After retiring as an attorney he moved to California and began a private investigation and security firm which he managed for 21 years. He now devotes himself full time to the business of giving seminars on task management.

Latting and DeShazo are the coauthors of the highly acclaimed book, Once A Marine, which details the life-changing experiences of enlisted Marine Vietnam veterans. This book emphasizes the importance of proper planning in the lives of young Marines who have become successful in today's world.

DeShazo is also the author of the soon to be published book, Renewal. This book relates the courageous stories of the people in the cancer-support group, Renewal, which Doctor DeShazo founded in 1982 and met with for over 20 years.
